Belthangady, Mar 9: A complaint has been lodged at Belthangady police station regarding abduction and rape of a school girl.
The girl, a minor was returning from school on Saturday when two persons took her in a car forcibly to a forest and allegedly raped her.
The victim who somehow managed to run away from the clutches of the culprits reached home and told her parents about the incident.
Circle inspector from Belthangady police station, B R Lingappa has registered the case under the protection of children from sexual offences act (POCSO) of 2012.
It is said that the police have started the investigations and the accused have been already identified. Arrest procedure is expected to take place soon.
