Mangaluru, Mar 6: The policemen of Bunder station have arrested a person named Ashraf (32) from Attavara here. A woman had filed a complaint of fraud against Ashraf, alleging that she was deceived by him after making her believe that he would sell her car and pay her the sale proceeds.

Shabana from Mangaladevi here had filed the said complaint. She said that Ashraf had told her that he would sell her car, and remit loan amount standing against it in her name. On the basis of her complaint, the Bunder police had registered a case under section 420 of Indian Penal Code.

Shabana said that the car in question had been sold off by Ashraf, but he neither paid her the sale proceeds, nor remitted the loan installments. As such, she rued that she lost her car and its sale value, while the loan against the car continues to swell.

The police, who took up investigation, arrested the accused. On being produced him in the court, he was remanded to judicial custody.

    This is our system.
How the car was sold when it is under mortgage or so called loan. How the registration took place without clearing the loan. very strange. hard to digest.

How RTO office transferred the documents, while loan amount is still not settled or transferred ...

    @ Aubb,
Our friend is fighting a case where he bought a KSFC mortgage property in Bangalore. The first party got the loan who sold it to 2nd party and the 2nd party sold it to my friend with original documents. Now KSFC is notified him to handover the property saying it is mortgaged to KSFC.
