Puttur, Feb 17: In the election held to the board of Puttur Town Cooperative Bank, all the 11 seats went to BJP-supported 'Sahakara Bharathi' candidates.
Out of 4749 eligible voters, 2,144 had cast their votes, and 230 votes were found to be invalid.
As soon as the result was declared, BJP supporters gathered in the compound of the bank and celebrated the victory by bursting crackers. BJP district general secretary, Sanjeeva Matandoor, constituency committee president, Appaiah Maniyani, and various office bearers were present.
