Mumbai, Feb 12: Fashionista cum actress Sonam Kapoor who in her recent movie Dolly ki Doli played an elusive bride who robs each of her husbands' family of all their wealth recently reported the loss of her five lakh rupee necklace. It is believed to have been stolen from her Juhu Residence. Juhu police are investigating the case.
Sonam is reported to have been given these jewellery items by a jeweller as part of an endorsement deal and the jeweller was to collect the jewellery back on the next day. Having worn the expensive accessories to a party in Bandra the previous day, the actress said that she had put them all in a drawer upon return and was shocked to not fine one of the pieces where she had left it.
Having searched a lot for the necklace she then reported the loss to the nearest police station along with her mother Sunita Kapoor. The police have been questioning the staff on duty at the time the necklace was believed to have been in the house and hope to retrieve it soon.
An officer working on the case said, "She attended the party wearing the necklace and other jewellery. The actress had got the jewellery for endorsement purpose and she was supposed to return the valuables the next day," The actress herself declined to comment on the matter when asked saying that she wasn't permitted to talk about it.
