Udupi district working journalists hold annual sports day

Udupi, Feb 11: The annual sports meet for journalists organized by the Udupi District Working Journalists' Association was held at the MGM College ground, Udupi here on Tuesday February 10.

It was a good opportunity for journalist to keep free from their busy working schedules for a day and exhibit their sportive skills.

























SP Annamalai, flagged off the event by playing with the mediapersons.

Annamalai said on the occasion that, ‘This is a moment to express your freedom. I am proud to be part of this event. It is a good form of meeting people and for of bonding. I wish to see a sportive cricket team of mediapersons from Udupi.’

Games like tug of war, cricket, musical chairs, long jump, shot put, javelin throw, hitting pots, running race, cricket, sack race, and many others were organized during the course of the action-packed day.

Journalists from Karkala, Kundapura, Udupi and various media organizations participated in the meet with all enthusiasm by participating in recreational activities.

Rahim Ujire, Balakrishna Shibarla and R C Rajesh held the games.

During the occasion, Press Club president Jayakar Suvarna, Information department officer Rohini, Ganesh Pandelu, Sports Secretary Nazeer and others were present.
