Udupi: Megana GK of St Francis High School wins gold in discus throw

Udupi, Feb 11: Megana GK of St Francis High School won the gold medal in discus throw at the sixtieth sports tournaments of School Games Federation of India (SGFI) which was held in Ranchi from January 19 to January 23.

Megana G K, eighth standard student of St Francis English Medium School threw discus 30.99 meters away in the discus throw competition for girls below 14 years and won gold medal.

She is the daughter of Girish Naik and Neelavathi G Naik couple.

The school convener, headmistress, physical education teacher, assistant teachers, staff and students of the school congratulated her for achieving success at national level.
