Mangaluru, Feb 11: Bureau Varitas, Netherlands awarded HACCP (Hazzard Analysis and Critical Control Points) the Food Safety Management System Certificate award to Casino Air Caterers and Flight Services (CAFS) premises at Kenjar, Mangaluru on Tuesday, February 10.
Vinod Panikar lead manager of Bureau Veritas, Chennai handed over the HACCP (Hazzard Analysis and Critical Control Points) the Food Safety Management System Certificate award to the CAFS officials. CAFS also celebrated their one year anniversery by cutting the cake. On this occasion Bajpe police inspector Narasimha Murthy also inaugurated the CCTV cameras for the main road safety and to help the police department in their duties.
V B Rajan, Chief Operating Officer of CAFS welcomed the guests.
Addressing the gathering CAFS managing director George Dominic said, "Within a year of operations, CAFS is proud to achieve HACCP (Hazzard Analysis and Critical Control Points) the Food Safety Management System, from Bureau Veritas, Netharlands. Bureau Veritas has stringent norms and procedures to achieve this quality standards."
"CAFS, Mangaluru is a state of the art facility meeting international standards of health and safety along with tight security protocol as per guidelines of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Secuirty (BCAS). CAFS Caters to most major airlines from its Flight Catering Units at Cochin, Calicut, Chennai and all Jet Airways flights are catered at Mangaluru. The new flight catering unit at Jaipur is expected to open in the first half of this year." he added
On this occasion Vinod Panikar briefed about the HACCP. "HACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product."
J T Radha Krishnan Airport Director graced the occasion and cut the cake to celevrate the first anniversery of the CAFS Mangaluru.
Narasimha Murthy Bajpe inspector spealing on this occasion said, "We request our people of society to install CCTV's on the roads to help the police and the public. CAFS are the first ones to install the cameras. We have requested with other people also. It will be helpful for us to look for the suspecious people and it is for the betterment of the society."
