Mangaluru, Feb 9: Poornananda Seva Prathishtana in association with KMC Hospital Mangalore conducted free mega health screening camp at Lions Seva Bhavan, BC Road on Sunday February 8.
Shripad Naik, health & family welfare minister, Govt of India and Shri U. T. Khader, health and family welfare minister, govt of Karnataka graced the occasion.
Dr Padmanabha Kamat, senior cardiologist; Dr Ishwara Keerti, spine surgeon; Dr Praveen Chandra Nayak, diabetic foot care specialist; Dr Prahlad Kustagi, gynecologist; Dr Arun S, physician; Dr Abin Holla, ophthalmologist; Dr Yogeesh D Kamat, joint replacement & sports injury specialist amongst others were the key consultants who were present at the screening camp. Approximately 375 people were screened at the camp.
U T Khader stated that such camps were very useful for people so that they could get themselves checked when they are healthy itself and hence avoid unnecessary sickness in life.
Dr Anand Venugopal, medical superintendent stated that Poornananda Seva Prathishtana need to be appreciated for taking up the initiative of organizing this Camp and KMC Hospital, Mangalore will always be there to support them for all their healthcare requirements.
