Bengaluru, Feb 7: Unperturbed by the voluminous report released by JD(S) leader and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on the controversial Arkavathi land denotification issue, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday said "there is nothing new" in it.

The report had repeated same allegations made by the Opposition BJP leaders earlier, claimed the Chief Minister.

Speaking to reporters, he said land denotifications in the Arkavathi Layout had been done only during the rule of Kumaraswamy, B S Yeddyurappa and other BJP Chief Ministers.

“Not a single gunta of land had been denotified after the Congress came to power in May 13, 2013," Siddaramaiah contended.

“We are not guilty of any irregularities. Let them prove their charges before the Justice Kempaiah inquiry commission,’’ he challenged.

He said BJP and JD(S) leaders have been the raising issue of denotifications issue for mere political mileage and publicity.

“Let them (JD-S and BJP leaders) give documents to the Judicial Commission", he said.

Replying to a question on the functioning of the Judicial Commission constituted to probe lands denotifications in the layout, he said all documents related to the Arkavathi Layout would be given to the commission.

“There are loads of documents. All files will be given to the commission formed in few days," the Chief Minister said.

On the issue of alleged corruption in the granting of mining leases to seven firms for 20 years, the Chief Minister said he would reply to the issue in the legislature.

“We have nothing to hide. Let them raise any issue and we will give a convincing reply,’’ he declared.
