Milan, Jan 26 (IANS): Struggling Italian giants AC Milan are considering offering Italy's 2006 World Cup winning coach Marcello Lippi a role as technical director, according to reports in the Italian media.
AC Milan's coach Filippo Inzaghi is under intense pressure, after taking just one point from four League games in 2015. They are currently at the 10th spot in the standings with just 26 points from 20 matches, 23 points off leaders Juventus, reports football-italia.net.
The former coach of Italian clubs Juventus and Inter Milan would be offered the role of technical director, providing advice and guidance to Inzaghi, or whoever replaces him as the chief coach.
Lippi, 66, announced his retirement from day-to-day club management after stepping down as the coach of Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande, but has intimated that he would consider an international role.
