Mangaluru, Jan 24: Logo of a two month long (13 January to 12 March 2015) D K district level Kidney Health Campaign was released at Karavali College Campus auditorium on Saturday, January 24.
The campaign has been organized by Mangalore Nephro Urology Charitable Trust in association with other NGOs.
UT Khader, health & family welfare minister, Karnataka released the campaign logo and said, “There is a dire need to modify our life style and food habits in order to keep the disease away. Unlike other diseases, kidney disease is a real threat to the healthy society where not only the patient suffers but rather whole family suffers from its financial burden. Hence, its every body’s responsibility to be aware of it and try to prevent kidney disease”.
S Ganesh Rao, president of Kidney Health Campaign organizing committee welcomed and dictated the oath to the gathering. Dr Mohammed Saleem, chairman Mangalore Nephro Urology Charitable Trust delivered vote of thanks. Umar U H Gen secretary campaign organizing committee compered the programme.
Saduddin M Salih, president Jamiyathul Falah, Dr Pradeep, consultant Nephrologist, Sudesh Kumar president Canara Builders Association, Nandagopal chairman centre for Integrated studies, Eric C Lobo chairman St Ann’s Group of institutions Mulky and representatives of many NGO’s & students were present for the programme.
