Mangalore, Dec 31: With top officials from Mysore Sales International Ltd (MSIL) visiting the Bajpe airport to study the infrastructure and feasibility, chances of early introduction of cargo handling facilities there appear to have brightened.

MSIL general manager A M Chandrappa, general manager (company secretary) A M Rao and Karnataka NRI Forum UAE coordinator Rajesh Sequeira, accompanied and guided by airport director M R Vasudeva, went around the Kudremukh Iron Ore Co Ltd (KIOCL) hangar at the airport to check the feasibility of early introduction of cargo handling between Mangalore and Bangalore, soon to be extended to international cargo as well.
Speaking exclusively to Daijiworld, Chandrappa, impressed with the potential and facilities available, said his firm was keenly interested in introducing the cargo handling as soon as possible, pending receipt of all clearances required.
MSIL officials said they would like to have feedback from parties interested and involved in cargo handling or seeking such facilities at Bajpe to send their feedback and proposals to msil@vsnl.com as early as possible.
