Mangaluru, Jan 23: In its history of 43 years, Tulu film industry has produced 53 films. The Tulu film industry which is said to be in a transitional period is going to witness yet another comedy film titled ‘Super Marmaye’, which will be released in April this year.
The editing of the film has been completed and it is in dubbing stages. Ram Shetty who has worked as stunt master in more than 700 Hindi, Marathi, Gujarathi, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films and produced and directed Hindi films like ‘Army’, ‘Gaddar’, ‘Jagruthi’ and ‘Khatarnak’ has made this comedy film.
About 'Super Marmaye'
The film story is the struggle of a rickshaw driver to bring his wife, the daughter of a bank manager, back in his life. Comedy king Raghavendra Rai of 'Pancharangi Pom Pom' fame has acted as the unwanted son-in-law. Gopinath Bhat has displayed the specialty of comedy as a serious actor in the role of a father-in-law.
Navin D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor and Arvind Bolar's acting have ensured that there is no dearth for comedy. Shradda Salian has acted as a dominating wife of a drunkard husband. Shradda hails from Manipal and has acted in main part in Mumbai sub TV serial ‘Jini Aur Juju’. This is the first Tulu film for the experienced Shradda.
'Chaali Polilu' film heroine Divyashree Bhat is the heroine in the film. She has received several offers after 'Chaali Polilu'. Shobha Rai has drawn the attention in the role of mother. Bangarada Kural hero Shivadhwaj has appeared in guest appearance.
Though a renowned stunt master, Ram Shetty told that he has not done stunts in the film. The cameraman Ejan who has worked with Ram Shetty in Bollywood, has joined hands in ‘Super Marmaye’.
The well known dramatist Navin Shetty Alake has written dialogues and the script has been prepared by Ram Shetty. Kadala Mage fame Chandrakanth Shetty has directed music. Shashiraj Kavooru has provided lyrics for five songs in the film. Sachin Shetty is working as assistant director in the film.
Two songs have been filmed in Sakleshpur's scenic beauty. Thamma Laxman has helped in increasing the beauty of the film as arts director. Karnoor Mohan Rai, Agnel Rodrigues, Pradeep Alva, Sathish Bandale, Deepak Rai Panaje and others have applied colour in the film. Three songs have so far been produced and directed by Ram Shetty.
Adyar Madhav Naik is the producer of the film. Deepak Shetty Kudradi, Jagadish Shetty Sarvani, Purushotham Bhandary Adyar have worked hard in the film.
