Bengaluru, Jan 22: (DHNS) Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday termed the accusations by H D Deve Gowda that he and the Congress government were practising partisan politics as nothing but geriatric prattle.
“Let Deve Gowda say what he wants. He is an old man... It’s nothing but old age which is making him speak harshly against me,” said Siddaramaiah.
When questioned about the JD(S) being forced out of its office on Race Course Road, Siddaramaiah said the decision of the Supreme Court had to be followed. “It is based on the Supreme Court order that the JD(S) is being asked to vacate the Race Course Road office. Everyone has to abide by the court order,” he said.
Gowda had on Tuesday accused the State government of dillydallying over providing land to the JD(S) to construct their head office in the City.
Earlier, Siddaramaiah inaugurated the publicity drive of the government to showcase its welfare schemes by launching special vehicles to five districts – Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Haveri and Yadgir.
The Department of Information and Public Relations intends to reach out to about 1,000 villages in these five districts and showcase the government’s Ksheera Bhagya and Anna Bhagya schemes. The publicity vehicles will house still photographs and videos pertaining to the schemes, apart from folklore music by artistes who will be accompanying in the vehicle.
