Mangaluru, Jan 16: Mohammed Sharif and Adith James D'Souza studying in 10th standard at St Aloysius High School have invented three models related to information and communication using ARDUINO technology.
The models are as follows:
LI-Fi (Light Fidility): This model works on LED light. It helps in wireless connection as an alternative for harmful radio waves. This model can be used to establish Wi-Fi connection as well as mobile connection. It works 10 gigahertz faster than the radio waves. When the receiver is connected to one laptop and transmittor is connected to another, the light which falls on the photo diode tranfers the data.
Hileo state skylight: This model works when sunlight is made to reflect from the mirror and the same light can be used for different purposes.
Protection from sun light in summer: By using reflectors which counters the sun rays, cold and pleasant weather can be maintained.
These models have already won taluk, district, state, southern national level and have been selected for national level competitions.
This information was revealed at the press conference held at Mangaluru on Friday January 16.
Fr Edward Rodrigues, headmaster of the school, Donald Saldanha and Santosh Lobo, St Aloysius High School teachers and parents of Sharif and Adith were present on this occasion.
