Kundapur: Dome Mirror System inaugurated on Chikkensal Road

Daijiworld Media Network - Kundapur (SP)

Kundapur, Jan 15: A Dome Mirror System installed opposite post office on Chikkensall Road where the road meets Kharvikeri Road, at a cost of about Rs 10,000, was inaugurated by municipal president, U S Kalavathi, on Wednesday January 14. This system has been provided by Vidyaranga Mitramandali to commemorate 45 years of its existence.

Chandrashekhar Kharvi, an office bearer of the Mitramandali, speaking on the occasion, said that the idea of installing the Dome Mirror was conceived in view of the fact that a number of accidents have been occurring opposite post office on Chikkensal Road where three roads meet. He said that the mirror has been provided in such a way that vehicles approaching from all the three directions would be able to see the traffic conditions across the bend. He called upon other organizations and insitutions too to think in terms of providing such a system in accident-prone areas in the town, towards making Kundapur a accident-free region.

Vidyaranga Mitramandali president, K Ganesh Naik, All India Konkan Kharvi Mahajan Sangha president, K B Kharvi, secretary, Umanath Gangolli, and councillors, Ravikala Ganesh and Sandeep Poojary, were present on the occasion.
