Mangaluru, Jan 4: A sea of students hailed the campus with a wave of excitement and celebration ‘Yuva-Parivarthan’, a two-day inter-college cultural extravaganza here in the city on Saturday. The event conclued on Sunday.
Organized by Srinivas Group of College, there were at least 16 varieties of competitions – spread over two days.
As part of the event, there was fashion show. Nearly 60 aspiring models walked on the ramp – to win the coveted ‘Campus Princess’ award – which was held for the first time in Mangaluru in a large scale. The top three winners were selected to directly take part in the Miss India contest, which will be organized by Miss India Organisation in association with Fashion ABCD.
Adding up to the high glam quotient, the event was judged by Miss Asia Workd – 2013 Srishti Rana, who made it big in the field of glamour and fashion industry.
Prashasthi K R from Srinivas college of engineering was chosen as Campus Princess 2015 and Prarthana Subramani from Beasant college was adjusted runner up.
Earlier, Minister B. Ramanath Rai, MLA J R Lobo and Jayaram Bhat MD of Karnataka Bank made a visit to the event.
CA A Raghavendra Rao, president of A Shama Rao Foundation and Srinivas Group of Colleges and Vijayalakshmi R Rao., Director, Mitra S. Rao., Secretary, Padmini Kumar, Aditya, Trustees of the Foundation were present on the occasion.
