Mangaluru, Jan 2: Buses functioning between Mumbai and Mangaluru will be out of action from Friday, January 2 till issues between the bus federation and the drivers are sorted out.
As per reports, a bus belonging to Anand Travels was stopped and checked by a company person on Thursday January 1. Extra passengers were found in the cabin of the bus. The driver of the bus named Vijay and the company person had an argument regarding this which led to a fight.
No buses will be available till further notice as all bus drivers will be on strike. One of the striking drivers speaking to Daijiworld said that "They are telling us not to let passengers sit in the cabin. Let them follow the Supreme Court order on the loading of luggage in buses."
Presently only buses by VRL and KSRTC are available for passengers. As per one estimate, more than 25 buses ply between two cities.
