Kasargod: Accused in the murder of SDPI activist Zainul Abid arrested

Kasargod, Dec 26: Police team led by DySP Ranjith has successfully arrested three accused of the murder of SDPI activist Zainul Abid(22).

The arrested are identified as Thejas(19) from Beerantabail who is an electrician, Abhishek(20) from Parekatte and Akshay Rai(24) from Kudlupachakkad. The police have seized the scooter belonging to Thejas and two mobile phones from them. Police have said that old enmity is the cause of the crime.

Police have said that more than ten people are involved in the crime. They are searching for the remaining suspects. Thejas and Abhishek in a scooter had reportedly identified a shop at Chakkara Bazar on the day of the crime at 9 pm before informing the alleged killers. The group which entered the shop at about 9.30 pm had hacked Abid to death.

The police had earlier arrested Abid relating to the attempt to murder incident of Anangooru J P Colony resident Jyothish one year ago. There was conspiracy to kill Abid in this connection for sometime. Police said that seven people were directly involved in the incident and three more people had facilitated it.

Abid was killed on December 22.

    If one has to take revenge for old enemity,only to kill ,then there is no Need of court,police,and no rules regulations.We have to kill everybody and we will be killed by them.Now then is the time for the accused to climb the ??and they can say adeus to their People.Nowadays killing means nothing.Cows are saved and human beings are hacked to death.

    Its really shocking to see the age of the murderers. It is reported in some other forums and sites that these young boys were affiliated to Sangh parivar.

    If yes, then its really a matter of concern to note that youth are being misled on the path of violence by these pseudo-nationalist groups for selfish motives.
