Bengaluru, Dec 14: Sandalwood actor, Jai Jagadeesh, has threatened to file defamation suit against those who have handed over a photo in which Ambareesh was clicked in the company of his daughter sometime back, to the media. 'The said photo, which was taken for personal purposes, is being misused for political ends,' he noted.
Jai Jagadeesh claimed that the widely circulated photo in which Ambareesh is seen with his daughter, Vaibhavi, was taken at a party organized by Ambareesh and his own family four months back. 'The photo in question was posted in social website, Facebook. Some people who have enmity with Ambareesh have handed over this picture to the media, thereby causing embarrassment to our family,' he explained.
The actor said that his daughter, Vaibhavi, was shocked at the turn of events. 'An effort has been made to attribute evil intentions to father-daughter like relationship. Defamation suit will be filed against the ones who have tried to tarnish the image of my daughter, and those who provided this picture to the media,' he thundered.
Mother of Vibhavi, Vijayalakshmi Singh, expressed the apprehension that her daughter's character assassination the media is engaged in, is threatening to bleaken her future. 'She is going through an experience of insult at her college and other public places', she stated.
Vaibhavi explained that her photo with Ambareesh that is being widely referred to by the media was shot by her own father in memory of the party organized by the two families. She added that she had also got similar pictures taken in the company 'of her father, and maternal uncle, Rajendra Singh Babu.' I share similar relationship with all of them,' she explained.
Chalanachitra Academy president, Rajendra Singh Babu, who happens to be the elder brother of Vijayalakshmi Singh, clarified that Ambareesh is like the fifth son of his mother, and that their families are having a close-knit relationship since the last 40 years. 'My family is in films since the last seven decades, but we have never faced such an incident so far. Our family, which is deeply hurt, hopes that such incidents do not recur. Enemies of Ambareesh, having been unable to take him on directly, have used these tactics to defame him. It is improper to hurt the sentiments of a family for political benefits,' he opined.
