Mangaluru, Dec 8: Two persons were attacked in separate incidents at Bajpe and Bunder here on Sunday December 7 night.
In the incident at Bajpe, a person identified as Ranju alias Ranjith was allegedly attacked with swords.
Ranju reportedly belongs to a pro-Hindu outfit.
It is said that four persons in two bikes followed Ranjith who was also riding in his bike. Seeing the stalkers, he grew scared and tried to run away after stopping his bike. At that moment, one of the four attackers allegedly hit him, after which Ranjith ran for his life. In his bid to escape the attackers, Ranjith fell down a slope near Kenjar and got injured on his legs. Meanwhile, the attackers left the spot.
He was badly injured in the head and admitted to hospital.
Bajpe police have registered a case.
In the other incident, a person identified as Sayyed Wasim from Bengaluru was attacked by two persons who came in a bike. Eyewitnesses said that the attackers first snatched his phone, and when he raised an alarm, they stabbed him and fled the spot.
It is said that Wasim had come from Bengaluru to buy some wholesale goods, and was returning after dinner when the attack took place.
Wasim has been admitted to Wenlock hospital.
Bunder police have registered a case.
