Udupi, Dec 3: A Muloor-origin man of French nationality passed away suddenly in the early hours of Monday December 1, giving rise to suspicions about the cause of his death.
Pisari Ravish (49) had been staying in France for the past 20 years, and possessed French citizenship.
It is said that Ravish had come back to India on November 7, and to his house in Muloor on November 25. Sources said that on November 30 night, he had a party with friends and the next morning at around 4 am, he was found dead.
The doctors who examined the body reportedly said that Ravish had died due to cardiac arrest.
Ravish's brother Rajesh, who resides in Bengaluru, was informed about the demise. Rajesh, on seeing the body, pointed out that there was a wound on Ravish's forehead, and expressed suspicions that it was not a natural death.
The post-mortem report is awaited.

Kaup police have registered a case.
