Mangaluru: Married woman missing since over a month, police seek public help

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Dec 1: A young married woman from Bejai here has been reported missing since more than a month.

Rafeena (23), wife of Rafeeq, a resident of Bejai Kapikad has been missing since October 20.

As per the complaint filed in Urwa police station, Rafeena had left home at 9 am on October 10, saying that she was going to visit her ailing mother-in-law in AJ Hospital. However, she did not return home, nor did she go to her husband's house. A complaint was registered in Urwa police station the next day.

Rafeena has wheatish complexion and is 4 ft 11 inches tall. She speaks Tulu, Kannada and Malayalam.

At the time of going missing, she was wearing salwar-kameez and burkha, and holding a green bag.

Those with any information on the whereabouts of Rafeena are requested to contact Urwa police station or the police control room on 2220521; 2220514 (ACP), 2220801 (police commissioner's office) or sub-inspector on 9480802323.

Police sources said that though all efforts are being put to find her, she has not been traced so far, even though more than a month has passed.

    Dear commentators,

I really appreciate all the concerns thrown by you guys on the article.

Article was published only to seek public help in finding her and inform police in case you see her anywhere.

As long as you don't understand the pain of brother, sister, mother and family members you keep being sherlock homes or cbi investigators.

Being her brother, my humble request is not pass sarcastic comments in this article, instead inform the police in case you see her somewhere.

We have done all the basic analysis and request commentators to stop probing based on assumptions. I can notice some comments purely depict their state of mind.

This is humble request from her family.

    Dear Brother...
Point taken. Feel your concern and point behind your publishing this article. You by now may have been aware of my comment through a poem.
My anguish is at what the world has come to! Such a caring brother and family! Yet Rafeena walks out. She should not have done so. Should have taken you all into confidence before taking such a step. Or at least confided to some one. We in any case do not know anything except she is 'missing'.
Hope your good wish comes true and your loving sister comes back. Our prayers are with you.
    God Bless.

You say in one line "Such a caring brother and family! Yet Rafeena walks out.." How do you know she walked out?? There may be thousand possibilities for her missing.. In another line you say "We in any case do not know anything except she is 'missing'." If that is the case then why this urge to comment on all the reports???

    What is your urge now?
Do you know any one of the thousand possibilities to comment appropriately?
Are you a regular here? Or just a random fault finder? I ask because your comment is based on that platform, rather than showing any concern for the missing.
Do not bang your head on the technical's of my comment. Write what's yours first.

Hope she comes back and reunites with her family. In the last 10-15 years, I have come across at least half a dozen of missing cases in Mumbai, where, up to now police could neither solve it, nor their bodies were found. Last year there was a case in DW, wherein a young woman from Gulf came to Mangalore to find out any clues of her missing father. Afterwards, I came to know that her father was missing from the night her mother was found dead in mysterious circumstances in their toilet in Parel, Mumbai.

You do not know many things. Only if you can maintain an equilibrium at a funeral, than you have arrived. If you can rejoice and be in love with death ,nothing like it! It will take time Eva! However, you will come to know in due course
    if you have the inclination.
