Geneva, Nov 27 (IANS): Basel coach Paulo Sousa felt proud of his team and fans despite losing 0-1 at home to Spanish giant Real Madrid in the Champions League.
"I'm proud of the players, the team and the fans. It was fantastic how we were supported this evening, with such enthusiasm - I would like it to always be like that. We deserved more," Sousa was quoted as by Xinhua.
"The players are executing my ideas properly. You can see that we can compete better and better with big teams. The team's belief in our ideas is growing. You could see that in the second half."
