@ comments , please understand pocso act provides GRADED punishment which ranges from 6 months to 10 years ( in severe aggrevated cases ). Just harrasement carries min 2 years and assaults min 4 years. As most of cases today are eloped cases , but girl hides her consent , some times she is minor , thus boy / men unfairly prosecuted. ( rediff survey :: 72 percent assault cases of in mumbai are perparated by BF and girls consented ,).

Whatever the case, the punishment is awarded and that is the way a criminal is made to realize his/her fault and if possible to reform.
Using cheap terminology does not fit your status. It is always better tp use refined comments rather than using non-sense, impractical terminology. If others have used such words does not mean that you too have to repeat.

Do not advocate atrocity and torture. There is limit for everything, including use of civilized language.Let the law & Judiciary prevail.
After serving the sentence he may come out(as a reformed person) and wants to live for the future but who can marry him if tools are gone?

Reformed after serving the sentence : TWO YEARS ? What was the fault of that minor to be devastated by him ?

Do you know Aruna Shanubhag's rapist is out after serving his sentence but she is in vegetative state ? You are still in favour of leniency ?

Just 2 years punishment and Rs. 15500?
This is such a small punishment for such crime.
The sexual assaults and that too on a minor should be taken up very seriously.
No fear of law makes the culprits get away easily.
In 2years he will be out and what guarantee that the victim will not be hurt again?
Such sick people should be awarded more than 100years punishment

Don't increase taxpayers' burden further ! Just cut the tool and release them. They should live rest of their life realizing how useless they are curse themselves for their self earned handicap.

Just as how a victim feels herself polluted rest of her life to have devoured by these beasts !

    Koti,

Since when did reverse of awareness start that sexual crimes have gone so high ? Its not awareness but a carefree nature that they can get away with toppling any female, minor or major.

Terminating the ability to do such crime is the only way left - awareness will not get into their head !

In this case a minor girl was harassed my heart goes to this little girl, but you advocate about women what would then in enormous cases women misused the term rape and men were punished. Thats why Cut or Stitch will not help.

Awareness at homes from parents to their children, in School, in society, State and whole country can only change the attitude. Honorable PM took a initiative of Swach Bharath, this is an awareness, such type of mass messages only can change the attitudes. I dont say whole India will be clean over night but people will think up to certain extent and over a period of time the effect will be adequate.
