Rio de Janeiro, Nov 19 (IANS): Santos are seeking talks with AC Milan over a permanent deal for striker Robinho.
The 30-year-old has scored seven goals from 16 matches since joining his former club on a year-long loan in August, reports Xinhua.
"We have reached an agreement with Robinho. He wants to stay here and we want the same thing," Santos president Odilio Rodrigues said.
"He has a great relationship with the fans and we are ready to discuss his contract with Milan."
Robinho began his career at Santos and played a key role in the side's 2002 Brazilian Serie A triumph in his debut season.
He also helped the club to the 2004 league title before being sold to Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2005.
The former Brazil international returned on a six-month loan in 2010, guiding the club to the Copa do Brasil title,
