Student's body found in pond, foul play suspected

Kasargod, Nov 15: The body of a student was found in a pond in Kasargod raising suspicions with regard to his death.

The deceased is identified as Abhilash (15), a student of Hosadurga higher secondary school.


The dead body was found in a pond near Technical College in Kanchangad. The boy was missing since Friday evening and could not be traced even after intensive search and inquiries with co students and relatives.

Finally his school bag and footwear were found near the Technical College and his body in the pond. There are marks of injury on his head and body which has caused the suspicions. His family members have said that he might have been murdered.

Hosadurga station police arrived at the place and conducted inquest.

The body has been taken to Pariyaram Medical college for postmortem.

    O God,A Boy at this Age to loose is for Family specially mothers heart very difficult and heartbreaking whatever the cause is.Here Shows his Body after some hours of death and must have thrown into Pond.because his Body is become steife,look at his Hands.Asuecide Body will not be in this state,stomach is not filled with water by overlook.may God Show the real killer who did this to him.Heartfelt sympathys to the Family,and his Soul may rest in peace.I am sure he didnt deserve this type of death at this Age.
