Mangaluru: Global music fest ‘Forte’ at Lourdes School on Nov 14

Mangaluru, Nov 11: Lourdes Central School, Bejai, will host ‘Forte’, a global music carnival (East Meets West) at 4 pm on Friday November 14, at the school grounds.

Addressing a press meet at the Press Club on Tuesday November 11, convener Violet D’Souza said, “Lourdes Central School is organizing a global music carnival ‘Forte’ to mark its Quindecennial (15th year) and to showcase the talent of students, teachers, parents, and former students.”

“They will be presenting an amalgamation of cultures with their scintillating music and dance—Russian ballet, classical Kathak, Bollywood dance, hip-hop dance, Spanish tap dance, and much more. There will be a unique performance by celebrities—actor Yajna Shetty and renowned music director Gurukiran Shetty,” she added.


“This programme will not only give a glimpse of the global village but also tantalize the tastebuds with a plethora of global cuisine spread out by renowned restaurants and confectioners of the city like Goldfinch, Rasa Prakash, Smokie’s, and New Angels,” said D’Souza.

Vice-principal Belita Mascarenhas, said, “The programme will start at 4 pm but the stage and cultural programme will be at 6 pm. So, I request the media to cover this event filled with fun, frolic, and entertainment to make it a successful one.”

Henry Mascarenhas, convener, and Rathnakar Achari, co-convener, were present during the press meet.
