Mumbai, Nov 9 (IANS): Ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas, whose latest album "Khamoshi Ki Aawaz" has been launched exclusively on an on-demand digital entertainment platform, says the collection is dedicated to the finest Urdu poetry and consists of the most subtle and musically sensitive work.
Known for his soulful voice and melodious numbers, Udhas also performed "Saqi Ki Har Nigah", the album's lead track at an event here earlier this week.

The singer, who has crooned numbers like "Jeeyein toh jeeyein kaise" and "Na kajre ki dhaar" for Hindi films too, said his new offering has a "contemporary sound which is a rare combination of traditional poetry woven into a unique musical ensemble".
He is confident it would be loved by both the ghazal aficionados and the youth.
The album, available on Hungama.com, has ghazals of renowned Urdu poets including Mirza Ghalib, Ahmed Faraz and Parveen Shakir, with one 'Nazm' by Ajay Pandey.
