Mangalore, Oct 21: Nandini, a unit of the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) which has now embarked on an expansion plan, has opened its milk parlour 'Nandini Point' at Somayaji Complex, Bunts Hostel in Mangalore on Tuesday October 21.
Deputy Commissioner of Mangalore A B Ibrahim inaugurated the new parlour and on this occasion Superintendent of Police Dr Sharanappa S D lighted the lamp.
Addressing the gathering after the inauguration, DC A B Ibrahim said, "People from Mangalore are fond of Nandini products as Nandini provides quality in milk and other products. We sometimes hear that adulterated milk products are sold in some places. But people have faith in KMF which provides clean and better milk products."
Dr Sharanappa S D said milk revolution is witnessed throughout the country. He called on KMF to open their milk parlours also in rural areas.
KMF Managing Director Sathya Narayan welcomed the guests and said, "Nandini Point is going to sell all types of milk products and we will also provide sufficient information about our products to the customers who are willing to know."
Corporator Vinay Raj, former KMF President Seethram Rai, President of KMF Raviraj Hegde Kodavoor among others were present during the occasion.
