Muscat, Oct 22: Muscat Pangla Parishioners are planning to organize a grand Decennial Celebrations together with “Pangla Fest” in Muscat – it was revealed by Panglacho Kollo Henry G. Martis, the current president of Muscat Panglalites and an active member of the Mangalorean Community in Muscat.
Muscat Panglalites was inaugurated by Rev Fr. Vincent Monterio, then Parish Priest of Pangla Parish in 1996 during his visit to Muscat. There were two prime purposes of forming this togetherness; one, to bring Panglalites residing in Oman close to each other and second, to support the Parish Development Projects. Vincent Menezes was the very first President of this vibrant and very enthusiastic Pangla Parish Group and since then, Henry Martis has taken the helm of leadership.
This year’s function will be held on 9th November 2006 at Alwyn’s Al Arsalan Restaurant & Hall, Al Wadi Al Kabir. The program will commence at 9.00 pm. As Henry Martis says “ It will be an entertaining evening and relaxing event for my parishioners in Muscat with dance and various interesting games. On behalf organizing committee of Muscat Pangla Fest and Decennial celebrations, I invite all the Pangla Parishioners residing in Oman to attend this joyful function and share the joy of parish feast”
