Kundapur: Impregnation case, rape accused arrested in Kundapur

Kundapur, Oct 19: A rape accused who impregnated a lady with the promise of marriage has been arrested by Kundapur police. The arrest has taken place on the same day, the victim delivered the baby.

The arrested person is Ganesh from Keradi village.

The victim, a 20 year old lady from Hattiyangady had complained earlier to the police that while she was in college, Ganesh had met her and they had fallen in love with each other. Ganesh with the promise of marrying her later raped her.

The police who were on the lookout for the accused managed to apprehend him on Saturday morning. At around the same time of the arrest, the victim gave birth to a baby boy at Kundapur government hospital.

The child and mother are in good health while the arrested has been sent to judicial custody.

    Now that the lady has delivered the child, it is better to arrange a wedding and have them settled up. With the accused going behind bar will not make any sense, as he promised to marry the lady at the first hand. In such case why not clutch in and put him into a life time barrier of the name called WEDDING. By doing so, the child too shall get a fathers name and shall not be abused by anyone.
