Bantwal, Oct 9: Kepu Kundakoli Rajeev Bhandary, chief secretary of BJP Raita Morcha was seriously injured when the Scorpio in which he was travelling veered off the road at Apparipade of Vittal here on on Thursday, October 9.
His family members who were also in the vehicle sustained minor injuries in the accident.
Bhadary is being treated at the local hospital. He was travelling from Vittal with his wife, two children and his sister on Thursday afternoon.
The driver was trying to overtake a vehicle in the front but apparently misjudged the bus approaching from the opposite direction. The vehicle veered off the road in an attempt to avoid collision with the bus.
The Scorpio was damaged due to the impact.
Vittal police arrived at the apot and conducted inspection.
