A pathologist of the blood bank at the district hospital, Dr Sharath Kumar Rao J was suspended by officers of the department. It is alleged that powerful lobbyists cooked up a conspiracy and created forged documents and framed him with a false complaint. He was suspended on September 7, 2013. The suspended Dr Sharath then sought court's intervention for justice.

Dr Sharath, medical officer of Blood Bank, district hospital Udupi, initially, mailed a letter to Madan Gopal, principal secretary on March 23, 2013.

He was suspended under three different versions of complaints which were based on health and family welfare department report. It is alleged that he borrowed money from a woman and broke the confidentiality of a patient.

He is not yet reinstated and has been a target of repeated and continuous harassment violating the KCSR rule 98. He has been denied of natural justice and not given his due human rights.

The health department has not paid any allowance for his livelihood from 13 months. Still, there is no response from the department concerning his case.

He plans to initiate a free check up in a small tent which will be inaugurated by Health Minister UT Khader.

The protesters started their silent protest by walking from district hospital campus to deputy commissioner's office with black ribbon and white band on their mouths.

Its really unfortunate. Dr. Sharath Kumar is a honest person and clearly seems to be a conspiracy against him. Hevwas one person who inspired the students, common people alike to donate blood and created the awareness regarding blood donation. I hope the govt wakes up and do some productive work. As long as he remains suspended its people's loss.

Mockery of Democracy. Todays doctors think no end of themselves. But the fact is that they are much worse than google. If you check for your disease via google you will get a better treatment. These doctors live their life prescribing 4 to 5 medicines. Every stone you throw in Mangalore will fall on a doctors car dont ask whether asli or nakli doctor. The other day I went to a famous Mlore skin doc and he treated me by watching the stock market on the TV and didnt even bother to check physically. Outside his office he has posted all the sham degrees and laurels that he won. And my condition still persists. Some doctors charge like anything but treat like they give social service. They are like mini mafia. There are only a few good docs left like maybe Dr Sharath and they are being suspended and what not.

Dr Sharath is a sincere, hard working young dynamic medical professional who is one of the contributor to the up gradation of the Wenlock hospital blood bank, later he developed the blood bank at Udupi dist. hospital. Who ever behind this dirty politics should be punished. This shows again that there is no space for youngster in our country who expose the corruption in our rotten Govt.administration. No value for their sincerity. Many youngsters are the victim of these political game, they will be demoralized, mentally harassed and kicked out from the mainstream. At last one day they have to leave the country in search of better prospects.
