Joe D'Souza, Mangalore: Child Labor is illegal... yes.. A child will be called as Laborer if he / she has asked to work at someone ease's commercial place or house. Yesterday's task was to clean city, whic should start from our school days only. and we have modi opposers in gujarath also. Yuo must have spoken to his opposer and not supporter of development work. even i had heard from many (who are not political background nor supporting any politician) that Gujarat is developing very fast and in some placed there is not a single minute electricity cut down. and moreover Kharge from Congress says that this propegenda was from congress and Modi just followed it seems.. what a joke by Kharge

What a fake show. Felt dizzy to watch such a worthless waste of time and money. Co-incident is that a Garbage truck spilled garbage near Shivabagh and a Politician drew with escort ignoring that Garbage truck. A man from Bondel should have cleaned His area before Mangalore.
Child Labor is illegal according to Children Welfare Squad. How did they allow little Children to SWEEP the road for Propaganda purpose. All these who put up this fake show were using Gloves and Face Mask for one hour cleaning job. City cleaning Crew does all this work everyday for livelihood without any protection which is against Labor Safety Act. Rogues do not see this misery but only see the money.
I was speaking to a Gujrath Native Medical Rep. who told me that Mr Modi should have cleaned areas of His state before whole India.
At least I happy that City is little clean till tomorrow.

As our ancestors said",before you find garbage in other Yard, clean your own house front first",so should be practised everyday not only one day with Fotos.who knows when he had broom in the Hand in house if at all.It is always better to avoid the garbage than start clean one day.our health dpt.or muncipality should take bit more responsibility or interest about cleanliness ,dustbins kept here and there. It is not only workers but citizens should be Aware of it importance.Only a few Girls are "trying " to sweep .some men could also accompany them.Mostly they are the one throwing their cigarettes or waste around.

This campaign will remain only as a photo opportunity to those who are not putting enough effort to bring the best out of this national service.

Govt. must ensure that enough garbage collecting bins are placed in all public places, foot paths, roads etc., and that the public will use them seriously, without littering the whole country.

DW must make a impartial survey and inform the public the aftermath of this national tamasha.

Photo No.29 lady needs little bit more training. Holding broom like cutting meat and also sweeping where there is nothing. It will take some time to find a place where to clean, by the time they may throw broom only inside nearby dustbin and curse this cleaning day

Public will not throw garbage on road, agreed. Where else shall we dispose the garbage. Are there enough garbage dumps or bins around the town. Whatever few we find within city visinity are overflowing and not being cleared for weeks. Along with public awareness we also need concerned authorities to make enough provisions to dispose garbage

Mayor's act today fades into insignificance today because:
    1. Congressmen took to 'cleaning each other through brooms and expletives' at the Town Hall today.
    2. It was A 'SCENE TO BEHOLD'.
    3. Wonder why this was not reported in 'Daiji'?
    4. The 'inner cleaning' of each other by congressmen with our MLC
Ivan D'souza(who else?) at the helm was there for all to see.
    5. Poor Lobaam was seen saluting and praying everybody to stay calm. From his side profile Lobaam looked like Gandhi alright calling for peace!!
    6. What a spectacle it was!!
I just wonder what the 'Mahaan Atma' might be thinking today? Honestly....
