Mangalore, Sep 29: Two youths were critically injured in a road accident after tempo which was carrying milk collided with their bike in Ganjimutt near Raj Academy English Medium School.
The incident was reported on Monday morning at around 10 am.
Injured are identified as Prashanth (24), resident of Yedapadavu Madapaadi-Borugudde and Nagaraj (23), resident of Mudushedde.
It is said that this incident occurred when both were riding the bike to attend an interview.
This incident occurred after tempo laden with milk was plying from Ganjimutt collided with the bike. The bike went under the tempo wheels after the collision. Both were tossed on the road and one fell under the wheels of the tempo and other fell away. It is learnt that both are unconscious and their condition is critical.
A local who came by Scorpio took them to hospital. A few documents belonging to victims were found on the spot.
Bajpe police rushed to the spot for investigation. It is also being said that the spot where the duo met with the accident is dangerous one. Recently,an accident had occurred on August 17 where two people were seriously injured.
Locals have urged to construct a hump in this place.
