Mangalore: Techie arrested from Bangalore for ridiculing Kudroli Temple

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (SHS)

Mangalore, Sep 26: A person has been arrested from Bangalore for allegedly ridiculing Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatheshwara Temple on social media like WhatsApp and Facebook.

Shyamprasad Bhat (37) was arrested by the Bunder police from Judicial Layout, Bangalore.

It is alleged that he had circulated messages and a photograph on WhatsApp ridiculing the Temple and its managing trustee Janardhan Poojary for serving food to Muslims on the occasion of Eid two years ago, a gesture which he allegedly called a 'non-vegetarian party', though only vegetarian food had been served. He also made defamatory remarks against Poojary while sharing the said picture, sources said.

The Temple committee had filed a complaint against him a month ago regarding the issue.

On receiving credible information about his whereabouts, the Bunder police went to Bangalore and arrested him from Judicial Layout.

He was brought to Mangalore on Friday September 26 and produced in court.

Shyamprasad is a software engineer working for a firm in Bangalore, sources said.

Futher investigations are on.

These types of educated RSS agents will see to it that India is divided on communal, regional and caste line.
These idiots should remember that Modi himself realised that without inclusive growth India will never progress and the world will not support a communal India hence he is become a changed man or a double masked man.
The coming time only will unmask the truth. I wish that Modi become a changed person and look India first before his party's ideology divide and rule.

I had previlige to have the food as a special guest of Suttur Mutt swamiji couple of years ago. I know couple of Muslim people who got similar hospitality by Shri Veerendra Heggadeji at Dharmasthala. If there was anything wrong in serving Muslims at temples and Maths, then definately these towering personalities would not have hosted Muslims.
It is very sad that our composite culture of over a millenium is challenged by a few educated (but nearrow minded) fanatics.

It is right that we should not mock at any religions. This is the mistake committed by this techie. Sad part is we let loose criminals, rapits and corrupt and arrest those whose crime is not the one he needs arrest. This hypocricy should be stopped.

Well Educated but lack of wisdom. Graduate but lack of common sense. I have seen the festival it is a huge tourist spot irrespective of the community who stay there. The beauty of Kudroli place is that it is located in the area where hindus, muslims and catholic stay together as a family but has remained always a peaceful and calm area. Dangerous mind that needs to be tamed.
