Mangalore: Teacher Symprose Tauro (58) dies in bike accident

Mangalore, Sep 23: A teacher who met with an accident while riding pillion on a bike with her son died at a hospital on Sunday September 21.

Symprose Tauro (Celine Miranda) (58) from Bendore, a teacher at St Joseph Higher Primary School at Kulshekar fell down while riding pillion with her son on a bike.

When they reached Bajal cross, the bike skidded and fell into a roadside pit. Symprose who was seriously injured was rushed to hospital, where she breathed her last.

She is survived by her husband Frank Miranda, and two children Flywon and Floyd Miranda.

The last rites will be held St Sebastian Church, Bendore on Wednesday, September 24.

A case has been registered at the Mangalore rural police station.

This indeed a very very sad episode. Bad roads cause these accidents. Unfortunately roads in most of the areas are in a pathetic state. Hope the City Fathers make a serious note of the prevailing situation and take remedial measures to correct the appalling condition of roads.
