Dubai, Sep 22: Stephen Praveen Nazareth, well-known as a charismatic youth leader and dynamic organizer, has been unanimously elected the president of Little Flowers Mukamar for the term 2014-2016.
He was elected during the fifth general body meeting of LFM which was held at Winny’s Restaurant, Karama. Sandeep D'Souza was elected the general secretary.

Stephen has earlier served as president of the youth organization and played a vital role to bring all Konkani youths together in Dubai.
Dayan D'Souza and Lancy D’Souza, the advisors of the association presided over the meeting. Alwyn Nzareth presented the annual report. The gathering appreciated the activities conducted by the association during last year. Treasurer Wilson Nazareth presented the statement of accounts and balance sheet for the financial year 2013 - 2014.
The new executive committee for the year 2014 – 2016 has been formed under the supervision of Dayan D'souza & Lancy D’souza and the members are as follows:

Outgoing president Reshma D’Cruz thanked all the office bearers and committee members for their tremendous support during her tenure as president for two years. Newly elected president Stephen Praveen Nazareth also thanked everyone for reposing faith on him and electing him as a president of LFM. He promised that with the support of all the members, LFM will be holding many activities in the coming years and he also requested the members to work together so that it strengthens the Association.
The meeting came to an end with a hymn to patron saint St Theresa.
LFM will be celebrating its fourth anniversary on November 14 at India Club, Oud Metha Road, Dubai. On this special occasion of its 4th anniversary celebration, for the first time in the history of GCC level has organized ‘Desert Konkani Music Awards’ for the best music album, best lyricist, best male and female singers.

About Little Flowers Mukamar
Little Flowers Mukamar is an energetic parish organization, popular in the UAE for its bunch of young, adult talents and unique creativity. This organization is dedicated especially to St Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, Mukamar, Shirva deanery, Udupi diocese. Over the past four years, this organization has been providing financial assistance to the poor and needy for various causes like education to financially backward children, house construction, medical aid and numerous social, cultural and humanitarian causes. LFM’s key responsibility area is to support development projects of the parish and the community with voluntary services.
At its inaugural ceremony, LFM honoured the founder presidents of the Shirva deanary associations (varado) in the UAE. It also honoured long serving Catholic domestic helpers with ‘Kutmaa Saangaathi’ Puroskor' (Domestic caretaker award) during the first anniversary celebrations held in 2011. In the second year celebration in 2012, The 'Saadhan Puroskar award’ was given to three of the UAE-based Mangalorean individual Catholic parish church associations. In June 2014, LFM supported Swabhiman Awards for differently-abled achievers instituted by Daijiworld Weekly.
