I guess there is an inside man who would have collected this stuff from the bathroom in the pretext of cleaning/inspection etc etc. These smuggling activities are in full flow with some airport & airline officials too involved.

This is the crux of the issue!! "smuggling"... and its all from Kasargod punters!!they probably use this modus operandi effectively for long! ... either, this flight flys in domestic route, which then a domestic passenger can smuggle out>? or some airport/Flight crew is helping them to sneak it out??

My only request to Oomen chandy and Shashi Taroor and in turn to Modi... please create a Airport for urself, in Kanhagad or some other area, so as to you fly directly out from there itself.. please, spare us mangaloreans!! for years together, Mangaloreans, have flown in and out of country and izzat/mehnat ki kamaai khate hain (except Kuwait war time, when few came back with whatever they cld lay their hands on :-D)..hamaari izzat mat looto :)

Smugglers being caught, good news. But how do these officials manage to find gold hidden in windows, toilets etc is a mystery, a food for thought!
