'Sandalwood to Bollywood' on Sep 12: Artistes arrive in Dubai

Dubai, Sep 10: Under the organisation of Dubai Acme Building Materials, Dubai Devadiga Association (UAE), for its 22nd year’s anniversary, has organized ‘Sandalwood to Bollywood’ music-dance-comedy programme on September 12. The artistes who are all set to provide a memorable evening and exhibit their talents have already arrived in Dubai.

The programme will be held at the Sheikh Rashid auditorium in Indian High School, Dubai on Friday September 12 at 5.30 pm.

Preparations have been undertaken for the grand success of the show success and well-known artistes who have come down to Dubai for the music, dance and comedy show were welcomed to come with great honour on Tuesday September 9.

Well-known playback singer Sinchan Dixit, singer Ravi Mururu (Bangalore), Ranjan Das (Mangalore), music director Rajgopal, convenor of the programme Madhu Mailankodi along with other artistes arrived at Dubai International Airport and the show’s host, Harish Sherigar, director of Dubai ACME Building Materials, who is also a singer and his wife Sharmila Sherigar welcomed them.

Popular artistes from Mumbai, Bangalore and the coastal area along with renowned singers of UAE Harish Sherigar, Akshata Rao, Melvin D’Souza, Joshal Sweeda D’Souza and others will entertain the audience with their melodious voice.

The singers will render Kannada, Hindi, Tulu and Konkani songs to entertain the gathering.

To add more colour to the programme, Gammat Kalavidar (Dubai) will exhibit a comedy show. In addition, a variety of dance will be performed by Pranavam Nyatyalaya crew under the direction of Prasanna Kumar.
