Los Angeles, Sep 7 (IANS): Actress Gwyneth Paltrow could've made her cinematic debut in rapper Vanilla Ice's 1991 movie "Cool As Ice", but her protective father Bruce didn't let her take on the role.
Bruce felt the part in the musical romance film would be a terrible career move for his daughter, and said she had to wait for another project to come along, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"My father was very protective of me and the first movie, actually, that I ever got offered was to be in the Vanilla Ice movie," she said.
"My dad wouldn't let me do it. I was like, 'But dad, it's, like, a part in a movie'. He was like, 'Nope!'," she added.
She finally made her debut as Young Wendy in Steven Spielberg's "Hook" in the same year.
