Kundapur, Sep 7: "Kundapur station inspector Nasir Husain should be immediately suspended for physically assaulting the minor, innocent youth in the police station and should provide an opportunity to restore peace in the city. If this incident repeats, HJV may lose its patience," said Sathyajith Surthkal of Hindu Jagarana Vedike.
He was addressing the protest organized by HJV against Kundapur inspector Nasir Husain for allegedly assaulting Hindu activists near Shastri Circle here on Sunday September 7.
"For everything, lathi and FIR is not an answer. Before using lathi on the innocent, one should stop and think. Officers who use the lathi due to the pressure of someone, are insulting the values of Khaki. These officers spoil the healthy environment. After wearing Khaki, law should be protected. Never do anything that disgraces the Khaki," he added.
"We cannot tolerate everything through peace; we know how to protect ourselves. Officers should curb injustice in the society and not unnecessarily use the lathi to assault innocent Hindu youth," he insisted.
Hindu Jagarana Vedhike district secretary said, "Without analyzing the right and wrong, the officer attacked the youth. Without raising voice against illegal activities, they assaulted the innocent and booked them in various cases. The Hindhu Samaj cannot tolerate this."
HJV district treasurer Prashanth Kamath was present on the occasion. Ashok Kageri compered the programme, Ganesh Bejaadi welcomed and Kiran Koteshwara thanked.
