Margao, Sep 11: In Goa, 'prudent' thieves and burglars have begun to use dress code to pass on snatched necklaces or picked pockets from one to the other of their collaborators easily.

Following this trail, Cuncolim police arrested 15 thieves, when they were found pickpocketing at the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Hope, Chinchonnem on Sunday night.

All fifteen of them in white clothes, as soon as they snatch something, would pass it to their allies. This dress code enables easy identification and passing off the stolen goods and ornaments easier and in right time.

According to police sources one of them was caught red-handed by people when he was passing a snatched ornament to his ally. Following this incident, locals beaten them first and then called police for their arrest. Later the group was in the custody of police.

All the arrested are in the age group of 23 to 35 years.
