Kasargod: Acts of miscreants in Kalyangadu suburbs comes to fore

Kasargod, Aug 23: The misdeeds of miscreants in Kalyangadu in the city suburbs and surrounding areas has come to light; theft and stone throwing on some houses has occurred here.

An ancient Panchaloha idol of Koragu Taniya deity in Mookambika temple was stolen and found in a deserted place nearby. The incident occurred at midnight. Five tube lights of the temple were damaged. The inmates of the temple have noticed it at night itself and complained to the police. The police have conducted a search and found the idol in a deserted place.

Meanwhile the house of Shashidharan, an auto driver of Meepuguri was stoned and the window panes were shattered. Besides that, the house of Vijaya in the vicinity was also stoned. District Police Commissioner Thomson Jose led police team visited the place and conducted investigation.

Fingerprint experts arrived to obtain further information. The police have taken precautionary measures and have set a trap to nab the culprits.
