Kundapur, Jul 30: Even as Byndoor area is grappling to come to terms with the recent death of a teenager, Ratna Kottary, a student from Shirur, and circumstances under which she lost her life are yet to be established, another PU student from here hanged herself.

Supreeta (17), a second PU (science) student of R N Shetty College in the town, and resident of Upralli within Byndoor police station limits, ended her life on Tuesday July 29 by hanging herself at her home when no one was around.

Supreeta's father, Srinivas Poojary, works in a hotel in Mumbai, and the girl stayed with her mother and grandmother. She was very good at studies, and had secured over 90 percent marks in SSLC.  She was also identified as a brilliant student in her college, and her sudden decision to end life came as a shocker for her parents,  neighbours, and relatives alike.

In a death note left behind, the student said she had no complaints against either parents or other family members, all of whom were very kind to her and looked after her well. 'I have neither loved anyone, nor am I interested in these matters. However, I am distressed and concerned at the fact that some people have been speaking ill of me. Please excuse me for taking this step,' the girl added in the death note.

Supreeta chose to commit suicide at a time when her mother was in the fields to remove weeds. Her maternal uncle had left for visiting a hospital in Manipal, and grandmother was at home. Supreeta, it is said, forcibly sent her grandmother across to a neighbouring house to bring something. Making sure that no one was around to either stop or save her, she hanged herself from a ceiling fan in her house by using a sari.

It is learnt that Supreeta had not attended college on Monday, and the principal had called her home over phone. As the girl was not at home at the time, her maternal uncle had received the call.

A report was filed in Byndoor police station in this connection, and the police have taken up investigation.

You have to live and love every moment of it.Do not bother whether you are loved or not in the first place, leave alone others botheration about you.
Why do you want to end your beautiful life for some silly inexplicable reason?
Can you rest in peace after doing this or allow your parents to?
    The young please think...
