Mumbai, Aug 5: Mallika Sherawat has been signed to play one of the leads in a Tamil film titled Dasavadharam starring Kamal Hassan.
The film will have Kamal Hassan playing 10 different roles. The film also stars popular south Indian actress Asin.
However, Mallika is being paid twice the amount Asin would get for this film. Producer Oscar Ravichandran justifies it saying Mallika deserves it.
Mallika will be seen playing a grey character in the film, who masterminds conspiracies leading to conflicts.
It is revealed that the approximate budget of the film is 30 crores. In fact the opening scene of the film which runs for 3 minutes will itself cost Rs. 2 crore.
Interestingly, Himesh Reshammiya is doing the music of Dasavadharam. The film will also be released in Hindi and Telugu. The Mahurat is scheduled for August 18.
