Mangalore, Jul 9: "The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) course will be started in Mangalore by the Indian Subsidiary of the International Skill Development Corporation Ltd UK, (ISDC) in association with Yenepoya, Mangalore," said Ilham Punjani, head of Business Relations in India for ACCA, here on Wednesday July 9, during a meet held at Hotel Ocean Pearl.
"ISDC services India Pvt Ltd, functions in the field of skill development projects, professional and vocational education activities for international schools and colleges, professional and corporate training, consulting, research and development. The company has a tie up with Yenepoya University, Mangalore to be the leader in launching the ACCA qualification in the city. The company offers training and tuition for the examinations conducted by the ACCA," she said.
"ACCA is a UK-based global body for professional accountants with a presence in over 180 countries and over 83 offices around the globe, operating successfully for over 109 years. The ACCA program includes 14 papers involving topics such as Audit and Assurance, Financial Reporting, Governance, Risk and Ethics, Business Analysis, Advanced Financial Management and Advanced Taxation," Punjani added.
She said, "ACCA also has a tie up with the reputed Oxford Brookes University, UK, to award students with a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Accounting on the successful completion of certain papers from the ACCA program."
"MBA is also awarded by the Oxford Brookes University to students on becoming an ACCA member after the successful completion of the course. The students in turn can enjoy global recognition and a rewarding global career as most employers now seek ACCA qualification holders in the rapidly evolving economy," Punjani continued.

"The fee structure will be Rs 3 lacs for three semesters and Canara Bank is likely to provide loans for the needy." she concluded.
