Karkala: DC attempts to solve Bandimutt bus stand controversy

Karkala, Jul 8: Udupi deputy commissioner (DC) Muddu Mohan visited Karkala to discuss preparations for the upcoming Bahubali Mahamastakabhisheka.

In a meeting held at the taluk office, the DC conducted discussions with various officials regarding the Bandimutt bus stand controversy. He visited Bandimutt bus stand and the new bus stand and obtained necessary information.

One year has elapsed since the high court order stipulating use of Bandimutt bus stand and new bus stand. The sword is hanging over the district administration. Meanwhile, the sudden visit of the DC and his meeting only the officials has caused curiosity.

A meeting discussing preparations for the Mahamastakabhisheka to be conducted in 2015 was held during the visit.

Udupi police commissioner Borelinge Gowda, Tahsildar Babu Devadiga, police circle inspector G M Naikar, town municipal official Rayappa and RTO Arun Kumar Singh accompanied the DC.
