As reported earlier thousands of Catholics had gathered in a public protest rally condemning the attack on Hotel Ashirwad.  But even before the memories of attack and the strike which followed could go out from the minds of the public, some unidentified miscreants have vandalized Santhosh Bar and Restaurant at Urwa Stores.

Four unidentified persons came to the said restaurant on Thursday night on two mobikes.  Without even getting down from their bikes they pelted stones and damaged the showcases with wooden clubs.  As s result showcases were damaged and several liquor battles too were damaged.  Along with that two persons who were in-taking alcohol in the restaurant too were injured.  The total loss has been estimated at Rs 20,000.

This is for the second time that Santhosh Bar and Restaurant owned by John Mascarenhas has been attacked by miscreants.  It was on Saturday February 18 that some activists of Hindu organizations had entered and stormed the restaurant for serving beef.

This time around no one entered the restaurant but pelted stones and damaged from outside.  The miscreants wearing mask escaped in the dark immediately.
